Sabotage!

So, we couldn't get my internet to work last night, and it seems the problem lies with the phone line. For some reason I no longer have a dial tone, so it appeared that my phone had been disconnected. I looked everywhere for a phone bill that maybe I hadn't paid on time, but to no avail. When I got to school today I told my supervisor and he called NTT, the phone company. They apparently suspect that someone cut my phone line!! So, someone is coming over tonight to check it out. Who would do that to a poor foreign newcomer? Maybe I've already pissed off the neighbours. My predecessor, Helen didn't have a good relationship with them b/c of noise complaints during parties she had, but I think they are oversensitive and the walls are paper thin. I'm holding out hope that the internet company accidentally cut the line when they installed my internet, and it's not sabotage on the part of some irrate neighbour of mine:)
